We learn as much...from handicap as from advantage — and indeed perhaps more. Not out of fullness has the human soul always reached its highest, but often out of deprivation. -- Pearl Buck "Sky high" is a destination of hope and fulfillment for infants and young children with special needs and their families. Limitless are the heights of human potential that early intervention and early childhood programming can foster in the home and other childcare environments. Setting our sights high, the sky's the limit for the SKI-HI Institute's endeavors to reach a brighter tomorrow for children with differing abilities. For nearly 30 years, we have been dedicated to designing programs and providing training and materials for professionals who serve families of children with sensory impairments and other special needs, ages birth to 5. Each year, the need for these programs continues to grow. Today, the SKI-HI Institute is working to secure long-term existence as we continue to achieve many important goals. To this end, we are developing partnerships with foundations, businesses, and individuals committed to strengthening families by helping children with special needs become contributing members of society. The SKI-HI Institute is a leader in the research and development of early intervention programs for use in children's natural environments such as the home and child care settings. These programs are disseminated across the United States. Yet much remains to be accomplished as we discover creative ways to effectively and responsibly enrich the world of young children with disabilities. We invite you to join us, and the families we serve, to reach sky high with the SKI-HI Institute. With your generous support, we can help our children achieve great expectations. If you have questions about giving, please call E. Jane Connell, Development Coordinator for the SKI-HI Institute, at 435.797.5579. Yes, I would like to reach sky high to support a brighter tomorrow for disabled children. I understand that I may direct my donation to the SKI-HI Institute's area of greatest need or to any of their programs. Enclosed is my contribution
